About the event
In isolation when one music ‘box' is wound it is clearly recognised and understood. What if we add another, then another? When does it become incoherent, a cacophony of dissonance… when does it become the Musical Tower of Babel? This is a question we invite the viewer to explore through playfulness, interaction & enquiry Sharon Hendy “…we are imperfect, we are unfinished, we blind-hem our way through life, there was always going to be an untidy underside”! Storytelling is at the forefront of Sharon’s illustrative work. Her inquisitive nature unpicks the neat the ordinary and turns it inside out. It all starts with an idea where narrative is cut loose from its mooring and set adrift in the deepest darkest forest… Sharon is a graduate of The London College of Printing, it was there that she developed an interest in Eastern European Animation. This interest coupled with a love for storytelling clearly permeates her work and gives it a thoughtful edge. Reading her pictures is a never-ending process and one that gives pleasure and paradox in equal measure
